The Marquisats beach

The Marquisats beach is a lovely little spot that is accessible for free. It is pleasantly located on the shores of Lake Annecy and is situated to the outlet of the city towards Saint Jorioz.

In order to reach this place, you will have to take the bus via line 6 (for those who are thrifty travelers) then get off at the stop found right in front of the Marquisats beach. The latter is favorably covered with grass and is meticulously maintained every day.

In this place, you  really feel the pleasure provided by  the sun, the white sand and the crystal clear sea. The site is ideal for family picnics with a great view of the lake. The Marquisats beach is one of Annecy's private spots.

The environment of the spot is green, the herbs make the places as well as the sight comfortable. The space filled with grass is about 20 m wide and 200 m long surrounded by a magnificent sandbar.

When the summer comes, the Marquisats beach is one of the most popular places for the inhabitants of Annecy, but also for the tourists. Between July and August from 10 am until 7 pm, the site is favorably monitored. To make everyone happy, the city of Annecy provides disabled people with floating chairs that will allow them to have fun in the water.

Also, in order to protect  the environment, showers and sanitary spaces are located on the premises. If you have forgotten to pack a snack, you can appreciate a variety of tapas with a delicious milk shake or other drink at the restaurant just a few steps from the beach. The most athletic can come to meet sailing clubs that offer equipment for canoeing, kayaking and rowing.
