Annecy organizes numerous events and activities during your holiday, some of which are internationally renowned.
In March, the Venetian Carnival delights children and adults alike, with its parade of masked characters who walk around the streets of the city.
At the beginning of August, the Fête du Lac sets ablaze the bay of Albigny, with more than an hour of spectacular fireworks,magical water games and enchanting music. Nearly 200,000 spectators attend this unique show every year.
At the beginning of November, the gourmands will not fail to discover Savoyard products at the Apple and Honey Festival, place Annapurna, before going to Sevrier for the Wines and Terroir Show.
For those who want to plunge into the traditions of the region, do not miss the Return of the Alpine pastures, every year in October, with its parade of folk groups and flocks in the streets of the city. At the same time, Annecy-le-Vieux also honors the animals of the farm through the Ancileviennerie.
As for the arts, late July and early August, fans of jazz, classical music and comedy meet for the Imperial Live Festival. With its eclectic and high quality programming, the festival gather every year a large audience in an exceptional setting, the prestigious Imperial Palace.
Movie fun are not outdone, as the city of Annecy welcomes every year in June the International Cartoons Festival, an unmissable event for all players in the sector. The Italian Film Festival is held at the end of October in early November and assembles the celebrated in transalpine cinema.
Finally, the athletes can already train for the International Marathon of Annecy, which groups thousands of runners in April. Another major challenge: the MaXi Race and its trail around the lake, through the mountains.
