Hikers, over 7000 km of marked trails are waiting for you.Set off on an adventure by discovering the industrial and urban Thiou, discover the plain of Dran, the waterfall of Talloires, the breathtaking panoramas of Mount Semnoz, Mount Veyrier and the thousand other treasures of the region.
Cross-country skiers or alpine skiers, choose your ideal trail among the many ski resorts that await you close to Annecy, from November to April.
For lovers of heritage, Annecy offers its historic center, with its pedestrian medieval alleys, canals, churches, but also its former prisons - the Palais de l'Isle, especially, the fortified manor house located on a small island of Thiou. Do not forget to climb up to the castle, which offers a magnificent view of the city. The surrounding municipalities (Talloires, Sévrier, Annecy-le-Vieux, Menthon-Saint-Bernard, etc ...) also holds many heritage treasures, not to be missed.
Cinéphiles, Annecy is for you! Capital of animation, it organizes every year in June its International Cartoons Festival, which get together with all the actors of the sector. Come and meet them and discover the latest releases at a preview showing. If you prefer the transalpine cinema, the Italian Film Festival is held every year at the end of October and beginning of November.
Must-see: the Fête du Lac in early August, a unique show which gather a large crowd for more than an hour of fireworks, water games and music.
