Annecy, part of the Haute-Savoie prefecture, is a city of charm and authenticity situated at the southern end of the lake that bears the same name. Annecy Castle


Listed historical monument in 1959, Annecy Castle was the residence of the Counts of Geneva in the 13th and 14th centuries. At the beginning of the 20th century, developments were undertaken at the castle to offer a unique look to the Museum. From this time, the architecture of the latter was renovated into a medieval style. The building becomes one of the most elegant museums in Annecy which receives more than a thousand visitors each year. The Queen's Tower was built in a dominant position in comparison with the castle gate to replace the original dungeon. The Island Palace


Also nicknamed the "galley-shaped house", the Island Palace is an incredible museum of Annecy that once was a prison, a courthouse and an administrative center. Its architecture is simply original whose old parts of the building already existed in the twelfth century.
