The Lac d’Annecy is a rare and precious pearl: its crystal-clear water is fed by the streams that cascade down from the surrounding mountains, making it one of the cleanest lakes in the world and a great place to take advantage of the wide variety of water sports it offers. There are some lovely little villages around it, among them Veyrier-du-Lac, on the eastern bank, a few minutes away from Annecy, the Venice of the Savoy region. It’s there that the house is located, five minutes on foot from the lake, along a small lush, green road studded with beautiful villas. The villa is notable for its very modern Scandinavian-inspired all-wood architecture, which is beautifully adapted to the environment. Its large windows let the light pour in and there’s a view of the lake from the second floor.
