Skiing in Annecy

Less than one hour from the slopes, Annecy is a destination of choice for lovers of ski and winter sports. La Clusaz, Grand Bornand, Flumet, Crest Voland, Les Aillons: there are many ski resort easily accessible from the city, for all desires and all costs.

Only 20 minutes from Annecy, discover the family ski resort of Semnoz, which offers, besides skiing, many sports activities: snowshoeing, tobogganing, etc ...

At 25 km from Annecy, the small resort of Manigod offers 25 km of slopes (downhill skiing and cross-country skiing), at the bottom of the summit of the Etale.

Approximately 30km from Annecy (counting forty minutes without dense traffic), two major ski resorts welcome the amateurs of winter sports: Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz.

In the middle of the massif of the Aravis, the first, of average size, developed around the small village of Grand Bornand, typically Savoyard, only built of chalets. Its trails, accessible by gondola, extend 90km for downhill skiing and 68km for cross-country skiing. Nearly 60km of winter hiking trails have also been developed and about the equivalent for snowshoeing.

More importantly, La Clusaz is one of the main resorts of Savoie, with more than 130km of slopes. Its ski area covers the Beauregard plateau, the Aiguille mountain range and, for the more experienced, the massifs of Etale and Balme - the highest in the area. The city has managed to preserve its historic center, despite its tourist success.

At about forty kilometers from Annecy (less than an hour's drive), you will find the resort of Aillons-Margériaz, in the Bauges massif. It is divided between Aillons-Margériaz 1000 (Mount Pelat) and Aillons-Margériaz 1400 (Mount Margériaz), the largest site of the two.

If you prefer the discreet charm of a typical Savoyard village, the resort of Flumet is made for you! At about fifty kilometers from Annecy (an hour's drive), located on a rocky outcrop, this small resort is an ideal destination for a ski with family.
